About our Partnerships
Haberdashers' Academies Trust South
The Haberdashers’ Academies Trust South is a multi-academy trust of 4 secondary schools and 5 primary schools in south-east London.
The trust has been educating children and young people since 1876, when the moral imperative was to ensure that every child in its care received the best possible education in order to make the best start in life. That moral imperative remains today, underpinned by the trust’s values of aspiration and achievement, personal responsibility, self-discipline and mutual respect.
Until recently, the trust ran 3 secondary academies. In 2007, Temple Grove Schools Trust partnered with Haberdashers’ Academies Trust South to co-sponsor the conversion of 3 primary schools into academies. The trust now has 5 primary academies:
-
Haberdashers’ Crayford Primary
-
Haberdashers’ Hatcham Primary
-
Haberdashers’ Hatcham Free School
-
Haberdashers’ Knights Primary
-
Haberdashers’ Slade Green Primary
These are all Temple Grove schools. This means that they share the Temple Grove ethos and they benefit from a Restricted Fund, set up and managed by Temple Grove Schools Trust, to provide after-school enrichment provision for pupils at the schools. Temple Grove also nominates a trustee to the Haberdashers’ Academies Trust South board.
Under the leadership of the Haberdashers’ Academies Trust South CEO, Jan Shadick, these Temple Grove schools educate 1,500 pupils in schools that are rated by Ofsted as “Good” or “Outstanding”. Haberdashers’ Academies Trust supports Temple Grove initiatives, with some of its teachers participating in the Temple Grove Farmington Teacher Scholarships.
